Candidates must know that this examination always take place in two categories that areLower Primary and Upper Primary. Lower Primary for those who want to teach Class 1st to 5th and Upper Primary to those who want to teach Class 6th to 8th.

Eligibility and Examination Pattern

For Lower Primary
Candidates must have these eligibilities to appear in examination. A candidate must possess senior secondary with 45% minimum with appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.ED.) or passed/appearing 4 year of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E.Ed.) or passed/appearing 2year diploma in Education in Special Education.
For Upper Primary
Candidates have these qualification are said to eligible to appear in examination. A candidate must own these, BA/BSC with least of 45% marks or passed/appearing in B.ED. or senior secondary with at least 50% marks with passed/appearing in final year 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or 4 year of BA/ BSC.ED /B.A.(ED.)/B.SC. (ED.)/B.ED. (Special Education) with 50% minimum.

Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test (KTET) is conducted by the Government of Kerala. The persons recruited as teachers should possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels of schooling. It is the examination to assess the eligibility of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala. Separate test are conducted to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes) and Category III (High School classes).
Kerala TET (KTET) Registration / Application Form
Candidates should apply only through online process from official website www.keralapareekshabhavan.in. The Exam fee of KTET is Rs.500/- for each category (Rs.250/- each for reserved category). Exam fee may be remitted in cash to any of the selected branches of State Bank of Travancore in and out of Kerala. Candidates can select the district for the examination while filling the application form.

Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two year Teachers Training Certificate (TTC)
OR
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE Regulations 2002
OR
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Eligibility criteria for Category II
Eligibility criteria for Category II is T.T.C and any bachelor degree
Eligibility criteria for Category III

Kerala TET Admit Card Download

The Admit Card/Hall Ticket for all the eligible candidates, who applied for Kerala TET through online application, will be available in the website of Pareeksha Bhavan from the date which will be announced later in the website of Pareeksha Bhavan.

Admit card is mandatory to attend exams. Candidate will not be admitted to the Examination centre unless he/she produces the valid Admit Card/Hall Ticket collected from Pareeksha Bhavan website.
