The Goa Government invites candidates every year to take up the TET. The TET stands for Teacher’s Eligibility Test. All those wishing to build a career as a teacher have to take this test and pass. The Goa TET is known as GATET.
There are two papers in the GOA TET 2013 Exam. Paper I or the primary paper is for those willing to teach classes one to five. Paper II or the secondary paper is for those willing to teach classes six to eight. The examination can be applied to by anybody fulfilling the requirements. People failing the first time can also apply once more.
Goa TET 2014 Eligibility criteria:
The primary section and the secondary sections have different criteria respectively.
The primary section requires anybody with the higher secondary pass out degree and with a minimum percentage of forty five. With that the person has to have a minimum of two year’s diploma in both special education and elementary education. Or somebody who is pursuing the four year’s degree in education can also apply. The degrees should be recognized by the NCTE.
In the secondary section the candidates have to be graduates in any stream and the minimum cut off marks should be fifty percentages. Along that there has to be a degree in special education or four year’s degree in elementary education.
Post graduate degree holders can apply too provided they have a year’s degree in special education and elementary education.
As mentioned before the qualifications have to be recognized by the NCTE and the RCI.
The candidates should be fluent in reading, writing and speaking the language which will be chosen as the medium of teaching.
Goa TET 2014 Exam pattern:
The examination has two papers. The first paper for the primary section has five parts each having thirty marks. The second paper has three sections of thirty marks and two sections of sixty marks. Each paper has the total of 150 marks.
SYLLABUS
GATET Syllabus will be of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks totaling for 150 marks. Following are the details of question papers:
Paper I Syllabus – To become teachers for classes’ I-V in Goa primary school.
Paper II Syllabus – To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Goa upper primary school.
Paper II and I – For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.
Note:
