IIT-Mumbai continues to be the region with the most number of candidates making the cut in the exam.
14,336 called for counselling
“A total of 14,336 students have been called for counselling, of whom 3,693 are from the IIT-Bombay zone followed by the IIT-Madras zone with 3,293 and then the IIT-Delhi zone with 3,033 students,” he said. “There are 9,885 seats available across the IITs, a significant increase from last year’s 9,647 seat availability, around 200 seats are from the new IITs who have started new courses.”
A total of 1,52,351 students qualified in the JEE (Main) test to write the JEE (Advanced) and of these, 1,26,704 students registered for the exam.
