GUWAHATI: The Assam government has decided that it will not conduct a separate post-graduate medical entrance test and will rather follow the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) from this year.
Counselling will start as soon as the state merit list of the NEET-PG comes. The result of the NEET-PG exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was declared on May 17. A source said, "We did not receive the state merit list till date. As soon as we receive it with the existing rules, we will go for counselling."
