Delhi University will be releasing its third cut-off list tomorrow i.e. July 8. The admissions began on July 1 with the first cut-off list wherein three colleges, Acharya Narendra Dev College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, set the bar as high as 100 per cent for their BSc in Computer Science programme.
A lot of popular colleges had closed admissions to various courses after the first cut-off list itself. It seems that admissions to many other courses will also come to an end after the second cut-off list though the seats for B.Com (H) could be vacant and would see a marginal dip in the third list.
The candidates will not only have to attain the cut-off to be eligible for admissions, but also additional criteria are to be fulfilled for getting an entry to their preferred courses. These riders have increased the confusion among the aspirants.
At Lady Shriram College, if a student has not studied the subject in which she wishes to seek admission, there will be a negative weightage of two per cent in the calculated best of four score (BFS). For admissions to Gargi College, it is mandatory for students to have studied maths in Class 12 if they wish to seek admissions in B.Com (H). Students with elective English as a subject in school are given preference and percentage advantage at Ramjas College.
