Orissa Government will organize Orissa TET 2014 in upcoming months and for which concerned department is doing all the necessary preparation for conducting the OTET 2014 Exam. Department of School Education or concern department will soon release a notice regarding Orissa Teachers Eligibility Test Exam date/ OTET 2014 Exam date.
Every year Government of Orissa conducts Orissa TET Exam for the candidates. Government conducts OTET Exam for the candidates those who want to become primary class teacher and also for those who wants to become upper primary class teachers.
Those candidates who want to become primary or upper primary class teacher must have to appear in TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) conducted by the state Government. Selected candidates in OTET can apply in primary schools of Orissa and upper primary schools of Orissa.
OTET 2014 will consist of 2 papers:
OTET 2014 Paper I – Paper I is for primary class teacher (class I-V)
OTET 2014 Paper II – Paper II is for upper primary class teacher (class VI-VIII)
OTET 2014 Paper II – Paper II is for upper primary class teacher (class VI-VIII)
Candidates who want to become eligible for teaching class I-VIII have to appear in both the OTET Papers.

Paper I Pattern: OTET 2014 will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs. The paper consists of 5 sections (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics & Environmental studies). Each paper will be of 30 marks.Total marks will be 150. Each question carries 1 mark. There will be no negative marking.
Paper II Pattern : Paper II will also have MCQs under four sections. Papers will be 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language-I 3. Language-II 4. (a) Science & Mathematics /(b) Social Studies

Application for OTET 2014 is over. Candidates applying for class I to V should possess senior secondary along with 45% marks.. For class VI to VIII – Candidates should possess D.Ed/ B.A/ B.Sc with at least 45% marks and passed B.Ed with 50% marks are eligible for applying.
