IGNOU Admissions 2014: Deadline for application is tomorrow

The admission process for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Distance Education courses for the June 2014 session is going to come to an end tomorrow, i.e. July 8.
Courses offered by IGNOU include 48 Doctoral Degree programmes, 73 Master’s Degree programmes, 42 Bachelor’s Degree programmes, 36 Diploma courses, 62 PG Diploma courses and 82 Certificate courses.
Masters degrees:
Master’s Degrees may be completed in a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. Basic eligibility for an MA degree is graduation in any stream. Master of Science degree requires a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject. Subjects with a technical angle will have practical classes and examinations in addition to theory classes and exams.

MCA Computer Applications, M.Sc Dietics and Food Services Management, MA Rural Development, M.Com, MA Tourism Management, MA English, MA Hindi, MA Social Work, MSW Counseling, MA Philosophy, MA Gandhi and Peace Studies, MA Education, MA Participatory Development, MA Economics, MA History, MA Political Science, MA Public Administration, MA Sociology, MA Psychology, MA Extension and Development Studies, MA Gender and Development Studies, MA Distance Education, MA Library and Information Science, MA Anthropology, MA Adult Education, MA Women and Gender Studies, M.Sc Counseling and Family Therapy.
Bachelors’ degrees:
Bachelors’ Degrees may be completed in a minimum of three years and a maximum of six years. Eligibility is 10+2, any stream (science stream if applying for B.Sc).

Bachelors’ specialisations on offer:
BCA Computer Applications, BA Tourism Studies, BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BA Social Work, BA Library and Information Science, BA Preparatory Programme.
Diploma courses eligibility is 10+2, while PG Diploma courses require Bachelor’s degree, and similarly Certificate courses eligibility is 10+2 and PG certificate courses’ eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree.
Application fees:
Candidates have to pay an applications fee according to the course they apply for. Fees can be paid either online or offline. For offline payment the candidates have to keep ready a demand draft in the value of the application fees before they fill the online application form; those paying online may do so through credit card/debit card.
How to apply:
Interested candidates can apply online through IGNOU’s official website. The candidates then have to take a printout of the duly filled application form and send it along with passport size photographs and relevant certificates to the nearest IGNOU Regional Centre.

Last day for applications: July 8, 2014
Last day for applications with Rs 300
Late fee: July 31, 2014
