The Haryana government arranges for the TET examination every year. It invites candidates from all over the country to sit for the exam and become teachers. The TET in Haryana is known as HTET. The examination is to test the capabilities of individuals to become teachers.
The Haryana TET 2013 examination has two papers. Paper I is for the primary section meaning anybody passing the paper I will be teaching classes one to five. The paper II is for the secondary section which means anybody passing the paper II will be teaching the classes six to eight. People with proper eligibility can sit for the exam.
Haryana TET 2014 Eligibility criteria:
The primary section has the criteria where the candidate should have a higher secondary degree where the cut off percentage is forty five. But along with that the candidate should have at least two years diploma in special education and elementary education. The degree should be recognized by the NCTE and the RCI.

The secondary section has the requirement where the candidate should be a graduate with a minimum of fifty percentages of marks. With that the individual should also have a year’s degree in special education not to mention a four years degree in education too.
For the post graduate candidates, they can apply provided they have a year’s degree in special education and elementary education.
The candidates are required to speak, write and read fluently the chosen language for the teaching medium.

The HTET 2013 examination of TET has two papers.
The first paper is for the primary section. The primary section has five parts each having thirty marks of MCQs. The second paper is for the secondary section. The secondary section has three parts each having thirty marks and two parts having sixty marks. The total marks of both the paper are 150.

3. PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) candidates have to their preferred subject’s Post Graduate Degree with minimum marks of 50% and B.ED. From any recognized university and also Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.

Qualifying Marks
Candidates have to Score 60% (90 Marks) for consider as HTET Pass Candidate and candidates from SC/ST and PH have to score 55% (83 Marks).
