The JKTET (Jammu Kashmir Teacher Eligibility Test) is the examination that always happens in Jammu and Kashmir this test conducted by the government of Jammu and Kashmir, this examination is for those who are seeking their jobs in Lower Primary and Upper Primary School but as the mandatory examination is in order by government is to pass to find jobs in teaching.
The Notification released by the Department of School Education or Concerned board. This examination also helps to find jobs in private and government school. For this examination candidates have to apply online because of no extra mode will be given to application.
Most of the candidates don’t know that there is two categories of examination
Lower Primary
This category is for those candidates who want to intend for classes 1st to 5th
Upper Primary
This Category is for class 6th to 8th candidates are willing to teach these classes can apply for this section
NOTE: Candidates want to teach Both Lower Primary and Upper Primary has to go through Paper 1 and Paper 2
Qualification
Lower Primary Teacher Class 1st to 5th
Candidates have their senior secondary certificate with minimum marks obtained of 45% and appearing in final 2 year of Diploma in Elementary Education and 4 year program of Bachelor of Elementary Education/
Candidates have passed their senior secondary with at least 45% and appearing in 2 year of Diploma in Education in Special Education and candidates have degrees of BA and BSC and B.ED are also Eligible.
Upper Primary Teacher Class 6th to 8th
Qualification is follow candidates have passed BA and BSC, passed or appearing in final 2 year diploma in elementary education with 45% minimum, passed or appearing B.ED, passed senior secondary with at least 50% passed or appearing final 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education, 4 year BA,BSC ED, BA (ED),BSC(ED) B.ED (Special Education).
Examination Structure
Candidates must know about the subjects and Structure of marks scheme of JKTET. The question is of one hour and 30 minutes and question paper is of 150 objective types.

Candidates have to Score 60% for JKTET (Jammu Kashmir Teacher Eligibility Test) Pass for SC/ST, OBC this criteria is 55% after this passed candidates will be awarded as JKTET Certificate with validity of 7 years.
